They say that every successful project has the personal story behind it. Mine started in 2008, when I came to Czechia for the first time and got totaly facinated by Prague architecture.
I got a thought that thia is a place where I can be happy without much extra, even if for some reasons I won’t have friends or money or a project to do, I still would be able to live here because of unbelivably beautiful houses
It seams that here you can walk along the streets entinaly, hang out from one century to another, live idlessly and be absolutely happy
My first year here was more or less like that – I visited the guide courses, the czech cousine courses, I read Kundera, Kafka and Chapek, I loved balconies, libretos and other beautiful words (though not the chzech words, but very well right for Prague and my mood back then) I was walking everywhere on foot and fall inlove with the city more and more. Can I now say after 12 years in Czechia, that I am a czech person, I think no, but if am I a Praguer? – well, absolutely. It is my city and it’s beautiful houses inspired me to make brave decisions and moved me forward.
Our first office was my smallappartment in Prague 4, my collegue and me almost in pijamas were working on the first rare requests, on event calendars, were creating the tours for each client individualy. I met all my toursits in person, and in the evening there was, opera, concerts, coble streets and alleys of street lights.
Few years after our office moved into a beautiful building in New Town with a grand staircse, where the shades were cleaned every day and the owner was the most meticulous czech person I’ve ever met. He regulary called us for his master class of how use the lift, how to open the windows properly, and I seemed to me he disliked every person who didn’t have a chip from the entrance gate.
My company was growing and soon we got into the narrow and the most responsable in our industry – unique trips and tailormade tours
While developing my own comapny I also dedicate 8 years working for the British- South African company followme2, thanks to them I visited so many contries and the every spot in the Southen Africa, ispecting the royal legend hotels, cozy wine eastates, sleeping in the londges on water, onthe three, in desert, dancing under the african sun. I was ,,,,, by progressive idea of the local hoteliers and thier ability to acomplish those ideas traditions and culture of such an multinational land,
The love to host at some point became stronger than the joy of being a guest. The passion for travelling was transformed into a wish to make it better here, where my home is. Though the inspiration from those unique places, thier soul and deferances is stil my resorce for inspirataion and here I am again builing something new
