Gloriette

  • Built in 1765.
  • Style: Baroque.
  • Cultural heritage: 18th-century frescoes, presumably by the hand of the court architect of Bohemia, the main fortifier of Prague – Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer.
  • Historical value: the place where Frantisek Palacky spent time writing and and where his wedding with Tereza Mechurova took place in 1827.
  • Listed building. Protected by the National Heritage Organisation.
  • Size: 55 m2 built up, 137 m2 total.
  • Was used as a northern entrance to the park and as a pavilion for relaxation with panoramic 360 view.

Chateau

  • Built in XIV century as a fortress, in XVIII century rebuild as a manor house.
  • Style: the main architecture is baroque, the facade was rebuilt in the empire style in 1818.
  • Legacy: the place where Frantisek Palacky wrote two volumes of “The History of the Czech Nation in Bohemia and Moravia”.
  • Listed building. Protected by the National Heritage Organisation
  • Size: 1400 m2.
